Harabel Contemporary Art Platform kicked off the new season with a talk led by Francesco Tenaglia, editor-in-chief of Mousse Magazine and artistic editor of Esquire Italia. The event in question took place in the premises of Harabel Platform on October 23rd, 2019, with the support of the Italian Institute of Culture.
Francesco Tenaglia mainly focused his talk on the activity of Mousse Magazine, a contemporary art magazine based in Milan. It was created with the aim of giving every article reflected in the press a proper assessment, care and autonomy. Since 2017 it has also been published in English, it is a trilogy, and along with other magazines such as Nero, Cura and Kaleidoscope, constitute the most important Italian contemporary art publishing companies.
Mousse Magazine was born in 2006 under the direction of Alessio Ascari and Edoardo Bonaspetti, with the primary aim of creating a magazine that would transcend the boundaries conditioned by classical institutional circles, as well as reach readers not directly related to contemporary art. The magazine, which was distributed in institutions such as museums, foundations and private art galleries, soon covered the entire national territory, and began to expand internationally since its 15th edition (2008).
The magazine publishes interviews and essays by prominent names of contemporary international curators and critics. Distributed in 35 000 copies, Mousse Magazine is present in Italy in more than 400 locations (galleries, museums, foundations, bookstores, etc.). It is also distributed in: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA.
In 2008 Mousse publication was born, a publishing house specialized in contemporary art, and in 2009 Mousse also created a visual and digital communication agency. Since 2015, Mousse has been taking care of miart, the international fair of modern and contemporary art in Milan.
Mousse publications include artists, writers, public and private institutions, galleries and other artistic and cultural initiatives. Their focus (publications) are artist monographs and books, pre-arranged and created in collaboration with the artist.

Platforma e Artit Bashkëkohor Harabel nisi sezonin e ri me një bashkëbisedim drejtuar nga Francesco Tenaglia, kryeredaktor i revistës “Mousse” dhe redaktor artistik i revistës “Esquire Italia”. Veprimtaria në fjalë u zhvillua në mjedisin e Platformës Harabel më 23 tetor 2019, me mbështetjen e Institutit Italian të Kulturës.
Francesco Tenaglia u përqendrua kryesisht te pasqyrimi i veprimtarisë së revistës “Mousse”, revistë kushtuar artit bashkëkohor, me vendndodhje në Milano. Ajo është krijuar me synimin për t’i dhënë çdo veprimtarie të pasqyruar në shtyp vlerësimin, përkujdesjen dhe mëvetësinë e duhur. Që prej vitit 2017 shtypet në gjuhën angleze, është e përtremuajshme dhe së bashku me revista të tjera si: “Nero”, “Cura” dhe “Kaleidoscope” përbëjnë sipërmarrjet botuese italiane më të rëndësishme lidhur me artin bashkëkohor.
Revista “Mousse” lindi në vitin 2006 nën drejtimin e Alessio Ascari-t dhe Edoardo Bonaspetti-t, duke pasur si qëllim themelor krijimin e një reviste që do të kapërcente kufijtë e kushtëzuar nga qarqet klasike institucionale, si dhe për të mbërritur edhe te lexuesi që nuk është i lidhur drejtpërdrejt me artin bashkëkohor. Revista, e cila u shpërnda në hapësira institucionale si: muze, fondacione dhe galeri private artesh, shumë shpejt mbuloi të gjithë territorin kombëtar, si dhe nisi të ketë edhe shtrirje ndërkombëtare që prej botimit të 15-të (2008). Revista boton intervista dhe ese nga emra të rëndësishëm kuratorësh dhe kritikësh të artit ndërkombëtar bashkëkohor.
E shpërndarë në 35 000 copë, revista “Mousse” është e pranishme në Itali në më shumë se 400 pika (galeri, muze, fondacione, librari etj.). Ajo shpërndahet edhe në: Australi, Austri, Belgjikë, Kanada, Francë, Gjermani, Japoni, Vendet e Ulëta, Zelandë e Re, Norvegji, Poloni, Portugali, Singapor, Spanjë, Zvicër, Mbretëri e Bashkuar dhe SHBA.
Në vitin 2008 lindi botimi “Mousse”, një shtëpi botuese e specializuar në fushën e artit bashkëkohor dhe në vitin 2009 “Mousse” krijoi gjithashtu një agjenci komunikimi pamor dhe dixhital. Që prej vitit 2015, “Mousse” është kujdesur për mbarëveprimin e “miart”-it, panairit ndërkombëtar të artit modern dhe bashkëkohor në Milano.
Botimet “Mousse” përfshijnë artistë, shkrimtarë, institucione publike dhe private, galeri dhe nisma të tjera artistike e kulturore. Përqendrimi i tyre (botimeve) janë monografitë dhe librat e artistëve, të parakuptuar dhe krijuar në bashkërendim me artistin.
